Where Retro Gaming Meets Real-World Impact
Tucked inside the historic Courthouse Plaza in Downtown Stockton, The Underground Arcade is more than just a place to play — it's a youth-owned worker cooperative where young people don't just work the floor, they own the business. Urban Good, LLC, the cooperative that operates The Underground Arcade, was formed in partnership with Main Street Youth & Family Services to create real economic ownership opportunities for Stockton youth.
Step inside and you’ll feel the throwback vibes of the mall arcades of the ’80s and ’90s — where kids played and parents took a break. We designed The Underground Arcade as a space to escape, have fun, and relive those simpler times together. Whether you're dropping in for arcade classics or celebrating a birthday, we think you'll agree — it's the kind of place Stockton deserves.
Our home, the Courthouse Plaza, is a beautifully revitalized 70,000-square-foot building that once served as a department store. Today, it's a hub for retail, restaurants, and community services. Visitors often call it “one of the best things to happen in Downtown Stockton in over a decade.”
The Underground Arcade is located on the Lower Level, where even below ground, you’ll enjoy natural light from the building’s atrium roof.
